Pet of the Month

Our pets of the month are...Boo-kitty and Peek they were adopted when they were 6 months old. Their owner married, had some kids, got a dog. Everything was perfect until some of the new family members developed allergies. Although these cats are very loved they need to find a new home. Since they have been together for a nine years now, we would love for them to go together. They are just about perfect for any environment: lot of people, kids, dogs, no problem. We are currently at petsmart if you would like to look at us. .

We need HELP please

Desperately Seeking Foster Homes for Cats and Dogs, email for more information arvsimi@yahoo.com

Are you are loving, caring and responsible and love cats and dogs? Then we need you to open you home and help us foster a cat or dog from our local shelter so that they are not euthanized.

What does it mean to be a Volunteer foster family? You will receive unconditional love from your foster. You will feel happy knowing you helped to save your fosters life.

Responsibilities of a foster family

- To give unconditional love

- To feed, give shelter and exercise

- To try and teach your foster good from bad behavior

- To bath and brush when necessary

- To drop off at adoptions on Saturdays at 11:30am and pick up at 4pm if not adopted

- Provide a safe fenced yard for dogs

- Provide a safe inside home only for cats

What we do

Animal Rescue Volunteers is a non-profit organization that helps to feed, house, provide medical attention and care for animals that have been rescued, whether from the animal shelter, a fire, earthquake or flood. If need be, the animals are placed in foster homes until permanent homes can be found. Homes for dogs and cats are found by way of our mobile adoptions, referrals and networking. Injured animals are treated by local veterinarians and nursed back to health before being adopted. Sorry we do not do out of state adoptions.

What We Have Accomplished

Animal Rescue Volunteers was instrumental in the adoption and referral adoptions of over 3,900 animals from 1994 thru today. We have spent over $100,000 in veterinary care for rescued pets with broken jaws, hip and leg fractures, upper respiratory, cancer, mange, and even helped our poster dog Hannah get a pacemaker. ARV has paid thousands of dollars in fees to Animal Control Agencies to save unwanted pets before they were destroyed.

Adopting a Friend

ARV's adoption days are a critical part to helping our furry friends find loving homes. They provide us a chance to screen prospective adoptive parents while providing you the ability to spend time with the animal.

Since we are making decisions that affect the animals life we carefully screen the potential home thru our questionaire along with accompanying all animals to their new homes to make sure all is okay.

Volunteering and Donations

ARV is a non-profit organization. Our volunteers are people just like you - who have a love for animals, and would like to donate their time or services to help the helpless. Foster familys are always needed if you are interested please email for more details.

We are also always in need of financial help, since most of our money comes from our adoptions dontations . We always seem short on funds, so if you can see it in our heart to send us some money, please remember every dollar helps. Our future plan is to have a facility to enable us to rescue and home more cats and dogs in a home like enviroment, with a yard.

Just give us a call at 805 579-8047.
